The Map Production process at DT Studios:
This is the general 7 step process involved in producing your map. There may be slight variations in this process depending upon your specific requirements but the basic framework will be very similar to what you will see below.

1. The first step will be finding out exactly what your needs are and what the final product should accomplish. We will collect as much information as possible at this time so we can put together a complete and accurate estimate for your project.

2. Next, we will provide you with a cost estimate based on your needs. Adjustments to the estimate can be made until we arrive upon an agreement & contract that you are comfortable with and that fits within your budget.

3. Once a contract has been created and agreed upon, we will begin the preliminary work on your map. We will begin laying out the framework and collecting the source material necessary for your project.
- Payments to DT Studios: We are very flexible in our contract terms regarding payments. Our general rule of thumb is half of the total estimate is due upon the contract being finalized, and the second half due upon receipt of your maps.

4. Map production will begin immediately. Your maps artwork will be created according to your specifications.

5. Once your map is complete, we will create a "first map proof" that will be submitted to you for your approval. At this time, we will get your input make any changes or corrections you may find and fine tune the map so it's exactly the way you want it.

6. A "final map proof" will then be created for your approval. Once the final proof has been approved we will continue on to the output stage.

7. Depending upon your output requirements (digital files or printed) your final maps will be produced and sent to you.
